The CPU is the hardware that is less prone to damage in the industrial computer. Why do some people burn out their CPU when they use an industrial computer?
The CPU of the industrial computer is the same as the commercial ordinary computer. We use Intel's CPU, and its warranty is 3 years. If it is used normally, it is rare to hear that the CPU is damaged within 3-5 years of ordinary computers. And hard disk, memory, motherboard, power supply, display failure, we have heard relatively many pairs. For some customers using industrial computers, it is said that the CPU is burned out. What is the reason? The editor of the industrial computer manufacturer will explain to you in detail what happens when the CPU of the industrial computer is burned out.
First, the voltage problem.
The voltage of the industrial computer is within a stable range, such as our industrial computer IPC-606, the computer transferred out after the power adapter is 12V input to the industrial computer. The electronic components inside the industrial computer all have standard power. If some customers do not follow our configured power adapter, use 19V voltage or 24V voltage. Because the voltage is too high and the current is too large, the power is too high, and the electronic components on the main board are burnt out instantaneously.
The CPU of the industrial computer is mounted on the motherboard. If there is a problem with the motherboard, the CPU will be connected to the possibility of being burned.
Second, the heat dissipation problem.
Many industrial computers use a fanless cooling system, which relies on the heat dissipation block and the chassis to transfer heat to the outside of the body. If the internal temperature of the industrial computer is too high and cannot be exported in time, the temperature of the CPU will be too high, causing the CPU to slow down or even be burned.
Generally speaking, the heat dissipation of industrial computers produced by large companies is tested by heat dissipation. If the industrial computer has been used for too long, the internal thermal grease and heat sink will expire, resulting in the heat of the CPU core not being able to be transferred to the outside in time, so you need to open the cover and replace the silicone grease.
Third, the motherboard problem.
When choosing the CPU of the industrial computer, it is necessary to consider whether the CPU is compatible with the hardware of the industrial motherboard. The industrial motherboards produced by some small factories do not work well with the CPU, resulting in unstable power supply, and it is very easy for the CPU to be burned.
Fourth, second-hand CPU.
Some customers use second-hand CPU processors in order to be cheap. Due to the use of these CPU products, some gold fingers are seriously oxidized. In addition, the previous usage is unknown, and this CPU is easily damaged by overclocking.
Fifth, the installation problem.
IPC manufacturers remind that the installation of the CPU must be correct for the pins. Some factories are not very professional in assembling IPCs, and they are reversed during installation, and the pins are damaged. It was exchanged for later use. Due to a small problem with the pins of the CPU, the voltage is unstable or the power supply cannot be properly damaged during use.
