The working principle of the resistive touch screen is mainly to realize the operation and control of the content of the screen through the principle of pressure sensing. The working principle of capacitive touch screen is to paste a layer of transparent special metal conductive material on the glass surface. When the finger touches the metal layer, the capacitance of the contact will change, so that the frequency of the oscillator connected to it will change. By measuring the frequency change, the touch position can be determined to obtain information. Since capacitance varies with temperature, humidity, or grounding conditions, it is less stable and tends to drift.

The capacitive screen of the industrial tablet computer belongs to the electrostatic induction type, which requires the conductor to touch the screen to respond. Therefore, it does not require a lot of force, and it can be recognized as long as the finger touches the screen lightly.
The disadvantage is that it cannot be precisely positioned. For example, when editing a document, it is not so easy for you to precisely click to edit a word or punctuation mark. Or you can't operate it with gloves in winter, and you can't operate it if your hands are a little sweaty.
The resistive screen of an industrial tablet computer is pressure sensitive and requires force to respond. Therefore, some girls always feel that the resistive screen is not sensitive. In fact, it is because she does not press the screen hard. As long as the force is appropriate, the resistive screen is quite sensitive.
The advantage of the resistive screen is that it can be precisely positioned, which is suitable for business applications such as editing documents. The disadvantage is that it does not support multi-touch, and the sensitivity is not as high as that of capacitive screens.
